OUR MISSION
The Genetic Toxicology Association (GTA) is an educational and applied scientific organization focused on genetic toxicology and aims to foster the exchange and dissemination of information concerning the field. Membership in the GTA is open to anyone interested in genetic toxicology with the majority of its members being professionals from industry, academia, and government. The GTA thus provides a unique and important opportunity for scientists from different types of organizations to routinely and openly exchange knowledge, ideas, views and insights.
A formal 2-Day scientific meeting is held annually in the spring at the University of Delaware in Newark, DE USA, a centrally-located site for the majority of the membership. There is a poster session and topics of discussion are focused on applied genetic toxicology, new technologies, case studies, regulatory updates, mechanisms of genotoxic action, risk assessment, and interpretation of data. Additionally, special workshops lasting several days are occasionally arranged by the Board of Directors.
